Post-consultation engagement

A series of clinical and stakeholder engagement events were held in 2010 for clinicians, GPs, local authorities and the public to help develop the Health for north east London proposals for change. Click here to find out more.

Events were also held to discuss specific issues and concerns raised during consultation:

• Engagement on maternity services

Heath for north east London held a series of focus groups in October and November 2010 to understand the factors that influence the choices women make around maternity services. Click here to find out more and read the report.

• Mental health services discussion event

A mental health discussion event was held on 29 October 2010 bringing together service users, carers and NHS professionals. The event addressed some of the key issues heard during the consultation, explored the links between mental health and the proposals to develop hospital services, and identified possible improvements to mental health services in north east London. • Travel Advisory Group
  
  A discussion event was held on 9 September 2010 with patient and public representatives and local groups to launch the Travel Advisory Group. The Travel Advisory Group will aim to address some key issues heard during consultation around travel and will consider how we can improve the experience of travelling to NHS services for patients, visitors, and staff in north east London. Meetings of the Joint Committees of PCTs

Meetings of the Joint Committees of Primary Care Trusts (JCPCT) were held in public. Click here to read about previous meetings.

Briefings for stakeholders were held in advance of the JCPCT meetings in July and December 2010 providing an opportunity for patient and public representatives to discuss and review the materials being considered by the joint committees.
