As part of the Health for north east London programme, analysis of the impact of the proposals on activity and capacity was undertaken. This forecast the effect that proposals would have on:

the volume of activity flowing to each trust

the effect this activity change would have on demands for beds

the change to income to each trust that would result from each change in activity.
While the proposals for change were not financially driven, the financial impact of the proposals was also analysed.
The decision making business case provides the latest activity, capacity and financial analysis. This document was considered by the joint committees of PCTs at its meeting on 15 December 2010.
The decision making business case builds on the pre-consultation business case which was published in November 2009.
